BLACK LIVES MATTER

With a heavy heart and a lifetime of privilege to reflect upon, I write this piece in solidarity with every BIPOC. The present unrest is moving us towards the brink of long-overdue social change. We stand with those protesting, those who have been unjustly incarcerated and especially with those whose lives have been taken through acts of racially motivated violence.

On our minds now and always, are children and families. From accounts of racial violence towards children, to painful conversations about safety between black parents and children, these realities need to become history.

We need to do more.

We recognize that it is not enough to not be racist – we must be actively anti-racist. This means taking the initiative to educate ourselves about racial injustices, and how to be effective allies. It means using our platform to increase the representation of entrepreneurs, educators, parents, and most importantly children of colour. It also means providing access to resources on how to become better allies.

Educating our children and ourselves.

Thanks to the many fantastic BIPOC content creators, authors, and leaders, we are able to provide you with a list of resources you may find helpful in educating your children and yourself. Learn more about talking to your children about race and how to support local youth-driven initiatives.

Thank you for supporting us as we work to do better.
